“A KITCHEN NEEDS to have its own personality,” says designer Rob Bowen, and this one has the sass and sophistication of a flamenco dancer.

The room is all about drama and contrast with its view over downtown St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay from the penthouse of a seven-story condominium. White glass countertops contrast with the dark wenge wood base cabinets that ground the room. Upper cabinets and the wall surrounding the twin Wolf ranges and Sub-Zero refrigerator are white lacquer. The floor is ash with an ebony finish that has been stained, sandblasted, lime-washed, oiled and waxed.
